Anton came to Nelson College as an exchange student in 2017 looking for a rugby experience having played the game back home. He decided to stay on and has reaped the benefits including captaincy of the College 1st XV for 2 seasons and NZ Secondary Schools representation in 2018-2019.

Anton's outstanding potential as a backrower has earned him a Tasman Mako contract through 2020. He made his debut against Southland in 2020 and played off the bench for the semi-final and Final victories.

After a further 9 games in 2021 Anton was signed by the Blues for his debut Super Rugby season, playing in 7 matches. Concussion issues limited him to just 3 matches for the Mako in 2022.
