Leicester was a Nelson College star of 2016 & 2017, representing NZ Secondary Schools in both years as well as the NZ Under 20's in France 2018 and Argentina 2019. After 2 appearance for the Mako in 2018, Leicester established himself on the left wing in 2019 making an additional 11 appearances including the NPC Premiership victory scoring 7 tries.

He was equally impressive in 2020 playing in all 12 matches of the back-to-back NPC winning campaign, scoring 5 tries. He was rewarded with selection for the South Island and Moana Pacifika representative teams. He had another terrific NPC in 2021 appearing in 10 games scoring 8 tries. He is a regular Crusaders player since 2019 and in 2022 was rewarded with All Blacks selection (AB # 1200) playing 2 Tests. He also played 3 matches for the Mako.
