From Collingwood, Quin is a Nelson College 1st XV captain who represented NZ Under 20's in 2016. He was fast tracked into the Mako starting lineup where his general forward play and lineout leadership makes him a standout.

He is a member of the four-peat Crusaders Super Rugby Champions of 2017 ~ 2020. Quin was vice captain in the victorious 2019 NPC Premiership team and was limited to 5 appearances in 2020. His stand out play for the Mako and Crusaders saw him named in the 2020 All Blacks squad but didn't play.

Quin co-captained the 2021 Tasman Mako alongside Mitch Hunt, playing in 8 matches to bring up his Blazer 50-games. He made 7 appearances for the Mako in 2022.
